Speed is the name of the game in all auto racing. It's why racing began. That's the most important thing Auto Racing Analytics does! We figure out who actually has the fastest car in each race and the most important time in the race (the 4th quarter).
Restarts
Restarts are the easiest time in a race to gain positions because all the cars are right close together. Some drivers are better at navigating these tight quarters situations than others, so we measure it. 2022 is on track to have the most restarts in years!
Clean Driving
One key factor many fans (myself included) tend to misvalue is crashes. Even if a driver crashes, they can still win. It would be easier if they avoided them though, and some drivers crash more than others, so we measure it.
